Cold Cathode Fluorescent Lamp belongs to gas discharge lamp, there are rare gases and a slight amount of mercury inside, electron hit mercury, mercury will emit 254 nanometer ultraviolet rays, radiant energy makes phosphor lighting.

CCFL for LCD/TV Backlight/Sidelight
LCD/TV backlight mainly consists of light source, reflector, LGP (light guide panel) and other accessories. It has high brightness, long lifetime and great uniformity features etc.

EL and LED are used in small size, because of lower brightness, they are used in less than 4 inches LCD screen, such as mobile phone, PDA, game machine etc. For white light source, compact size and high brightness, CCFL is the best choice than them.

CCFL for LCD is different form CCFL for lighting in better electrode and glass tube, it has longer lifetime and good uniformity feature.

Cold cathode fluorescent lights inverter

CCFL need high AC voltage and high frequency current, the driver must need turn the common current into fitting higher AC voltage and high frequency current. The electric parameters should be strictly matched with CCFL lamps driving conditions, so we must make all new inverter if the CCFL is different. Standard input voltage 12VDC, other DC input inverter voltage: 3/4.5/6/9/12/24VDC, AC input inverter 110/120/220/230/240VAC and other any voltage.
